The arguments couple’s have are fascinating—sometimes flat-out funny! However, there’s usually more to the story. With permission to share it, this is one of my favorites from a couple in the Salt Lake City, Utah area: Continue reading “Is This Your Fast Food in the Closet?”
When I was about eight years old, I remember a particularly annoying night when my older sisters were picking on me… again… (a shocker I know). I had had enough! So, I decided to vent to my journal, writing less Continue reading “A Helpful Way to Vent”
I am always in search of a good Ted Talk. This one did not disappoint. Clients have said this talk has been helpful in opening a dialogue about this often difficult topic. Continue reading “The Sex Starved Marriage”

I am fascinated by the continuous surge of research being done regarding the benefits of mindfulness and relaxation. This seems to stem from efforts to curtail the dangerously ill effects that stress can have on individuals, relationships, and society as a whole. It is very evident that we are stressed out! The experience of golf can go from a soul-wrenching funk to uncontrollable laughter. Most golfers would tell you that the mental and emotional part of the game is more challenging than the physical one. Yet, there always seems to be something (a made putt, a great drive, enjoyable company) that keeps me coming back. Continue reading “Why We Fear Going to Therapy”
